The 2023 Silverton Poker Run Road Rally
Sign up for the Telluride Autumn Classic Poker Run! The Poker Run is the same route as the Silverton Road Rally.
If you would like to participate, pick up your Poker Run Score Card at the Telluride Airport in Hangar 29 between 8AM-9:30AM, you will ‘draw’ one card for your poker hand here and then visit each of the other 4 predetermined “Dealer” locations along the route to draw one card from the Festival “Dealer” at each location. The Winner will be the participant that turns in the Highest Poker Hand based on standard poker hand rankings!

Rally Route: Start your Poker Run Road Rally journey at the Telluride Airport. From 1500 Last Dollar Rd, you will travel Highway 145 along the Sam Miguel River through Placerville before turning right on to Highway 62 towards the town of Ridgway. You will pass over Dallas Divide, home of Ralph Lauren and one of the most photographed scenic locations in Colorado before rolling into Ridgway’s main street. Here in Ridgway you will pass by the “True Grit Cafe” of John Wayne fame and the shooting location for many Western movies. After Ridgway, at the traffic light, you will turn right on to Highway 550 towards the town of Ouray. You will continue on Highway 550, past the famous Orvis Hot Springs and into the “Switzerland of America, the town of Ouray. Passing through Ouray, you will immediately start over Red Mountain Pass, part of the Million Dollar Highway, reaching an elevation of over 11,000 feet! There are some great reminders of the rich history of mining efforts in the San Juan Region along this stretch of road so, feel free to stop and take a photo or two! Once in Silverton take the time to wander the shops of the historic district and grab some lunch or head back to enjoy lunch in Ouray or Ridgway. But, please keep the Poker Run ‘card availability’ times in mind if you are participating!
